This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use IMEI Check, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the service to need as little personal data as possible.

Information we collect

  • IMEI numbers you submit. When you run a check, the IMEI is sent to our servers to perform the lookup. We do not store the IMEIs you enter for lookup purposes — they are processed on demand and discarded after the result is returned.
  • Account information. If you create an account, we store the email address you provide and your remaining credit balance. We never ask for your name, phone number or postal address to use the service.
  • Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Creem, a Merchant of Record). We never receive or store your full card number. Creem collects and processes payment details under its own privacy policy.
  • Usage data. We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics (such as page views and errors) to operate and improve the site. This data is not linked to individual IMEIs.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may also use privacy-friendly analytics cookies that do not identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features (such as staying signed in) may not work as expected.

Third-party processors

We share the minimum data necessary with:

  • Creem — to process payments. See the Creem Privacy Policy.
  • Device data providers — to resolve TAC codes, blacklist status and carrier/SIM-lock information you request.

Data retention

Lookup IMEIs are not retained. Account records (email and credit balance) are kept for as long as your account exists and are deleted when you request account closure. Aggregated analytics are kept in de-identified form.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the address below. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
